An identity, finally!
I am very happy to let you all know that Meringue Bake Shop now has an identity! My logo is complete and I am very happy with it. I think it reflects my idea and myself perfectly.
Let me know if you find anything wonky. I built the site via a template from Godaddy. Not my ideal but what are ya gonna do? Out of 800+ templates (so they claim) I couldn’t find anything I really liked so I settled on this simply because it had my colors. Someday I will have a nice looking website! You hear me! Someday I will!
Ok obviously the website thing bothers me. Why? Because I work on websites for a living. “GASP! You mean you don’t bake cupcakes 24/7 Kristin??” Nope I don’t. I work, in an office, on marketing and websites and SEO 40+ hours a week while visions of cupcakes run through my head. So you can see why this website thing bothers me. But I realize that some web presense is needed and I’d rather have something ho-hum than nothing at all. As long as I can have some good pics of my cupcakes, I’ll be happy….
…which I plan on working on this weekend! The amazing Nicole from Pinch My Salt is working on a food photography portfolio and offered to take a few pics of my cupcakes for me! I am so excited! I don’t even know which ones to choose! I think I’ll stick with my menu and maybe a few custom pieces. Not sure… hmmm… She does great food photography. Check out her site and you’ll see. She also has great recipes on there. www.pinchmysalt.com. I met Nicole on Twitter. Twitter is just the most awesomest thing EVER. Check that out too if you haven’t.
Well that is all for now. I guess I should update my blog look and feel too… hmmm… maybe later. Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend!
