In the Mix #2

Ahahahaha well so much for the weekly idea! I am still going to shoot for making In The Mix a weekly thing, even if it only happens once a month. 😀

In the mix is a weekly comp of crafts, recipes, videos, articles that I like and would like to share with you. Without further ado, here are my picks for this week:

This mini Instagram photo album. It would make a great Mother’s Day gift… but since I am just now posting this… how about a belated Mother’s Day gift?

“One of my all-time favorite movies turned 25 this month. I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen” GAH! I’m so old!

I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts earlier this week and now I want to make deviled eggs and try cold spaghetti & chocolate chips.

And speaking of podcasts, one of my absolute favs is Slumber Party with Alie and Georgia. They are fun, have great stories to tell and are totally uncensored so don’t listen with your kiddos in the car.

2014 James Beard Foundation Awards were announced. I’ve already bought 2 of the winning books.

Did you know I like to make homemade jam? This Strawberry Peach Lemon jam just screams summer to me

Imagine a Journey: Party theme for Nurses Day by Paper and Cake. Some of my closest friends are nurses so this day means more to me now than it ever did.

I would like one of these in my hand right now – French Ginger Ale

I attended a networking event last weekend called Girls Lunch Out. They happen all over the US so check them out. Anyway, our speaker was Sarah James from Whoorl and I loved the necklace she wore & the meaning behind it

Amy Interviews a 106 yr old Woman

I had a great time in Portland for my birthday. Ate SO MUCH FOOD. But seriously, Portland now has a place in my heart. Can’t wait to go back.

  1. Thanks for including me Kristin! And that french ginger ale…yum!

  2. Which books did you buy? I’m a B-I-G What Katie Ate fan…her photography is always spot on.

    • i bought The Art of French Pastry and The Cocktail Lab. I haven’t heard of What Katie Ate. I’ll check that out, thanks!
