Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate our birthday with us on April 7 at the Orange Home Grown Farmers Market. We had such great time and hope you did too! And a special thanks to Couture Paintings for coming out and painting lots of faces (and arms and legs) that day too. Including me!

The awesome banner and bunting was made by Sharon from Cupcakes & Cutlery. Doesn’t she rock?? I love it so much I want to permanently display it.

She also surprised me with these gigantic balloons with cupcake liners dangling from the strings! LOVE!

Couture Paintings did an AMAZING job. I think I had the most fun watching all the kids, and their parents, get painted with tigers, pirates, snakes, cupcakes, butterflies and more. I am really glad Couture Paintings was able to come out and celebrate with us. And they are going to be back at the market on May 5 for the Orange Home Grown Farmers Market 1st Anniversary

We had a couple games too! A Punch game and a “Guess How Many” game. For the Punch game, every hole had a small Easter egg inside with a piece of candy. Some eggs had a slip of paper to win a free cupcake! We had lots of winners that day.

And then we had a jar STUFFED with Peeps and asked folks to guess how many were in there. We had about 50 guesses and only 4 people had the right number. A lot of close ones though. Of the four correct numbers, there could only be one winner. The winner is Andrew Bishop! He correctly guessed 37 Peeps!

So another year has passed and we are another year older…. le sigh. We’ve got a busy year ahead though. And lots of fun and exciting things planned for the business. Thanks again to everyone who came by and wished us Happy Birthday!

That’s right! This week is our birthday week and we want to have a great big ol’ fun party with you, in our booth at the Orange Home Grown Farmers Market this Saturday April 7.

We are going to have an awesome face painter from Couture Paintings, cupcake giveaways, games and more!

Check out that paint job! Isn’t it awesome?? We met Couture Paintings at the Birthday Bootcamp event we participated in and it was love at first site! So excited that they were available to help us celebrate.

The market opens at 9am and that is when the fun starts! We will also have some Easter treats on hand too, great for adding to little ones Easter baskets.

We are sad to say that we have left the Great Park Farmers Market. Ever since the market moved away from the balloon, gardens and grasses, our regulars stopped coming and business slowed to a halt. We realize that since we don’t have a shop, we do need to have a way to connect with the community and get our goods to the masses so when a spot opened up in the rotating Artisan Alley at the Orange Home Grown farmers market, we jumped on it.

So far it’s been great. The crowd at this market is different, not as many kids which is kind of a bummer but a lot of folks seem to make this market a Saturday morning ritual. So we see a lot of the same faces each Saturday we are there and I love that.  And now, if you need to grab some cupcakes or PushCakes for a Saturday event, you can stop by and grab a dozen! We also started making COOKIE CUPS and carrying cake pops from Just A Bite Cake Pops.

Speaking of all that, we are on an every-other-Saturday schedule at Orange Home Grown so if you are specifically looking for us, just pop over to Facebook or Twitter to find out if we’ll be there. We have a fancy calendar on our Facebook page that will tell you all the places to find us that month and the months to come. See that pink highlight below? That’s where you’ll find our calendar.

We’ll be there this Saturday and then back again March 24. And since my birthday is April 5 and my husband’s birthday is April 7, we are planning a little fun celebration at the April 7 market. More details on that later so stay tuned.
